14 people were killed in a horrific car accident in Zangoro village on the Bauchi-Darazo road.

Mr Yusuf Abdullahi, Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Bauchi State, revealed this in a Road Traffic Crash (RTC) report on Thursday in Bauchi.

He stated that five other people were injured in the incident, which occurred on Thursday about 12:17 p.m.

According to him, the accident included a Golf 3 Wagon automobile with the license plate AJ507GWA and a private Chevrolet car.

The commander blamed the crash on a speeding infraction, adding that corps troops cleansed the area and collected N73,000, seven phones, one power bank, and four small purses.

“The fatal road crash involved nineteen people: ten female adults, seven male adults, one female child, and one male child.”

“Fourteen of them died on the spot,” he added, “ten female adults, two male adults, one male child, and one female child.”

According to Abdullahi, the bodies of the deceased and injured have been referred to Bauchi’s Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital for medical attention and identification.

He reminded motorists to follow traffic laws and regulations while on the road. (NAN)
