As collation proceeds, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri is leading in seven of the 10 declared local government areas.
As of 1:19 a.m. on Sunday, 10 of the 20 local government districts in the extra elections had been declared, with Fintiri taking an early lead.
According to Channels TV, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state, Aishatu Binani, was ahead in the three remaining local government areas.
According to the results provided by the state collation officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Fintiri, who is running on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), received 124 votes in Demsa LGA, while the APC got 43.
According to Lamurde results, the PDP had 580 votes against the APC’s 285. In Jada LGA, the PDP received 271 votes while the APC received 145, while the PDP also won in Ganye LGA, receiving 309 votes while the APC received 176.
In Shelleng LGA, the PDP received 299 votes while the APC received 223. In Maiha, the PDP received 207 votes while the APC received 172, while in Hong LGA, the PDP received 1,056 votes while the APC received 361.
Meanwhile, in Yola South LGA, the APC received 797 votes to the PDP’s 678, while in Song LGA, the APC received 558 votes to the PDP’s 411, and in Yola North, the APC received 368 votes to the PDP’s 357.
However, it has been learned that the collation of the remaining ten LGAs has been pushed back until 11 a.m. on Sunday.
