Empress Njamah’s lover-turned-blackmailer arrested in Liberia

According to a recent update given by the actress on her Instagram stories, George Wade, the former lover of Nollywood actress Empress Njamah, has been caught in Liberia.

Wade is escorted in handcuffs in the video, which was posted on Monday, April 24, 2023. “Our God is not sleeping, @empressnjamah’s blackmailer has been apprehended in Liberia,” the caption said.

After their relationship became rocky, Empress Njamah accused her ex-partner, George Wade, of domestic abuse and blackmail.

Last December, the Nollywood actress said that the engagement video she had shared earlier that month on her Facebook page was shot under duress. She went on to say that she had been a victim of frauds and physical assault, and that she had been held captive by Wade until finally escaping.

She said, “He wrecked me, finished everything. This person I’m telling you actually got a ring and forced me to do a video, which he posted on my page because he has access to my page. He changed all the passwords, logged me out of every email I have, everything I have, all my phones, my iCloud, everything, I don’t have access to anything, I don’t mind.

“I’m alive to tell you the story, I was able to run that night, I ran into the street, not minding who or how, I fell into a gutter. I was able to see a mallam to ask for a phone. I called my brother and he picked me from the hospital, and the following morning, took me home.”

George Wade remained a menace to Empress Njamah despite her escape from the toxic engagement. Surprisingly, he escalated the situation by disclosing her intimate and confidential photos and videos via a WhatsApp group discussion to which he invited blogs and multiple individuals.

This blatant invasion of her privacy compounded the grief and trauma that Njamah had already suffered at the hands of Wade. The Actors’ Guild of Nigeria issued a statement demanding Wade’s arrest.

Many celebs are thanking the actress right now.
