Last night, gunmen suspected of kidnapping kidnapped Daniel Ogoshi, one of Deputy Governor Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe’s drivers in the state.

The driver was taken around 9:30 p.m. from the home of one of his friends on Ombi 2, College of Agric, Kwandere road in the center of Lafia, leaving his phone and car behind.

According to a family acquaintance who corroborated the occurrence in the state capital, the driver’s kidnapping was unfortunate and one too many, and that he received a call around 9.35 p.m. that his brother had been taken.

According to a family acquaintance, he immediately called the police, who were dispatched to the area but discovered the kidnappers had gone with the victim.

When reached, DSP Ramhan Nansel of the Nasarawa State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer verified the occurrence and stated that the Command was on the hunt for the kidnappers.

The PPRO, who denied further comment on the matter, did say that the Command was still doing proper verification of the circumstances behind the driver’s kidnapping.

It should be noted that the previous Deputy Governor of the state, Onje Gye Wado, was recently kidnapped in his hometown of Wamba.
