His Royal Majesty Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, the recently appointed Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has committed to use all resources at his disposal to ensure the continued success of LAUTECH.
During a visit to Emohua by a group from LAUTECH led by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the University Governing Council, Professor Ayodeji Omole, the new Chancellor spoke at his palace.
Awuse extended gratitude to the institution’s Visitor and Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, and stated that the appointment will not be taken for granted.
According to The PUNCH, this was said in a statement published on Sunday by the institution’s Deputy Registrar, Public and Alumni Relations, Mr Olelekan Fadeyi.
The Royal Majesty, who praised the Institution’s leadership for making time to congratulate him by physically coming to brief him, stated that his people and the entire Rivers people were pleased with the appointment, for which they will be grateful in the future.

Earlier in his speech, the team’s leader, Professor Omole, praised the Royal Majesty for accepting the position of Chancellor and hoped that God would grant him the strength to guide the university to its ultimate objective.
He also briefed the Royal Majesty on the forthcoming convocation ceremonies during which the Chancellor’s investiture would feature on Friday, April 28.
Other dignitaries at the meeting include the Chief of Staff to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, Chukwuemeka Woke and the Acting Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port-Harcourt, Professor Okey Onuchukwu.
The LAUTECH team comprised the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council and Senate, Dr Kayode Ogunleye; the Bursar, Mr Abayomi Okediji; the Deputy Registrar (Council Affairs and Legal Matters), Adebayo Adeyi as well as the Deputy Registrar (Public and Alumni Relations), Olalekan Fadeyi.
