In Ghana, a police officer fatally shoots his girlfriend

On Kumasi, a police officer shot and killed his lover.

On Sunday evening, Ghana Police detained the officer, known as Inspector Ahmed Twumasi.

Tumasi allegedly shot dead a woman believed to be his girlfriend, according to a tweet from the Ghana Police Service.

On Thursday, April 20, 2023, a shooting happened in Kumasi, in the Ashanti area.

The culprit, who had been on the run since the shooting, was apprehended at Sekyere, near Effiduase in the Ashanti Region, as a result of a special police operation initiated in the aftermath of the shooting.

The suspect is currently in police custody and will appear in court to face charges.
