JUST IN: Former ICJ Judge Bola Ajibola has died at the age of 89


Prince Bola Ajibola, a former Judge of the International Court of Justice in the Hague, Netherlands, has died.

Ajibola, a former Attorney-General of Nigeria, died at the age of 89.

Ajibola, the founder of Crescent University in Abeokuta, died after midnight on Saturday after a long illness caused by old age.

Segun Ajibola, SAN, the late jurist’s eldest child, announced this in a statement issued on Sunday in Abeokuta.

“With a very deep heart and gratitude to Almighty Allah,” he wrote.

“Our father, Prince Bola Ajibola, passed away shortly after midnight. May Allah, the Almighty, bless him with Aljanah Firdaus.”
