Tanker fire intensifies jam on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway

On the Long Bridge axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, a petrol-filled truck collided with a sport utility vehicle on Sunday and exploded.

According to information, the event took place at 4.30 pm.

Police officers, representatives of the Federal Road Safety Corps, officers from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, and members of the State Fire and Safety Service are part of a team of emergency responders at work.

Due to some vehicles going against traffic to avoid the fire, the incident also resulted in gridlock along the axis.
