David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a well-known Nigerian Afrobeats artist who has spoken about losing loved ones.

In an interview with Beat FM, Davido talked about losing loved ones, including his only son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, and mentioned that he had dedicated a song off his new album, “Timeless,” to them.

The musician referred to individuals he had lost as legends in his album Timeless, which was released today, March 31.

On October 31, 2022, the celebrity lost his only child, Ifeanyi Adeleke, after losing his best friend and bodyguard.

Legends Can Never Die was created as a result of the singer’s admission that even if they are no longer physically there, he still feels their spiritual presence around him, according to the artist in the viral social media interview.

”Like over time. Even everybody knows that I lost my mother at 10. Losing my best friend and my bodyguard in one to two years, and then losing a child and all that together.

”I don’t think the song is really being sad. I just feel like since I have lost all of them, I don’t want to really feel like they have left me spiritually. I still have them around me a kind of. They were all legends. So that’s why I say that a legend never dies.,” he said.

He continued by saying that everyone who has lost one or more loved ones is honored by the song.
