Salawudeen Ayomide, a 22-year-old Point Of Sale (POS) operator, was sentenced to three months in prison by an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun State on Tuesday for stealing N120,000 from her company.
Following her guilty plea, the police accused Ayomide, whose address was not disclosed, with theft.
Mrs. A. O. Adeyemi’s judgement awarded the convict an option of N3,000 and ordered her to pay N120,000 to the plaintiff, Nosiru Jayeola.
Previously, the prosecutor, Insp E.O. Adaraloye, told the court that the convict committed the crime on February 8, about 8 a.m., in Ogba Ayo, Ijoko, Ota.
According to Adaraloye, the offense violated Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code, Vol. 1, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
