On Saturday, hoodlums led by suspected armed security guys disrupted and seized the ballot box at Umuarusi Amandugba hall in Imo state’s Isu local government area.
It was reported that at at 09:19 a.m., five thugs stormed the voting stations.
Despite the overwhelming presence of security personnel, the thugs infiltrated the area.
However, voters have expressed concern about the security armored truck monitoring the area prior to the box stealing.
“We are afraid,” remarked one of them, who introduced himself as Chibuike. You watched how they took the vote box with security personnel, and you knew it was planned. We are frightened and do not feel safe. How can an election be conducted using an armored vehicle? This is wrong.”
