Sodiq Yusuf, better known as CDQ, the Nigerian rapper, has released his latest single, Igbalode.

The rapper had announced the release of the new song in the early hours of Friday.

In Igbalode, the singer enlists the musical expertise of the duo of D’banj and Timaya.

In the song, CDQ sings about his new beginnings in the music industry.

“Igba lo ba/ Igba lo de/ Igbalode omo na turn by turn/ Igba mi lo de/ For this life na turn by turn/ Omo oro wole won pari yeba/ CDQ pelu banga aleeba/ Gidi boys never carry over/ kaka ko pami layo wa gba ko ba/ Fresh boy ai ai/ Ma pami na loose kai kai kai/ Kogbadi no be mai mai mai/ Muhammed Ali kiise lai lai lai,” he sings.

The track is produced by Jay Pizzle.

The indigenous hip-hop rapper rose to prominence after releasing ‘Nowo E Soke,’ a hit single in 2015 with Wizkid.

He has since established himself as a well-known figure in Nigeria’s music industry.

In November 2016, the 37-year-old rapper established his own record label, N.S.N.S. (No Struggle No Success Entertainment).

CDQ revealed in December that he was hospitalised for a potentially fatal illness.
