Geoffrey Onyeama, Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated on Saturday that the rumor concerning his suspension from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is incorrect.

According to reports, the Minister was suspended by the APC for declining a mission to threaten Labour Party presidential contender Peter Obi.

According to the source, Onyeama was supposed to carry out the mission in the United States of America. (USA).

The story, however, is false, according to Mrs Francisca Omayuli, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been alerted to a social media story alleging that the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Geoffrey Onyeama, has been suspended by his party, the All Progressives Congress, because he was sent to the United States to blackmail Peter Obi, and he declined the request.”

“The Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs declares that the malicious allegations are without merit.”

“As a result, the general public is urged to disregard the story,” the statement said.
