Hoodlums allegedly enforcing a court order have clashed with their counterparts in Lagos State’s Magodo Isheri neighbourhood.

During the battle, the hoodlums, who were loaded with firearms, participated in a free for all, causing tension that sent shivers down the spines of landlords, neighbors, and business owners in the neighborhood.

A resident, who asked not to be identified for security reasons, claimed residents had been confined in their homes owing to a breakdown in law and order caused by people claiming to have a court judgment granting them ownership of land in the community.

“As I speak with you, many people are trapped in their homes, unable to leave because the estate gate is locked.” People who claim to have a court judgment are fighting. The police and members of the Rapid Response Squad have been called in to help contain the situation.

“The security guards have locked the gate, so I can’t leave the estate.” As I speak with you, the conflict is still going on. “I won’t go out until normalcy has been restored,” the resident stated.

“There’s something going on at Isheri,” one eyewitness said. The term “electronic commerce” refers to the sale of electronic goods. They obstructed the route to the other gate. They’re saying something about reclaiming their Magodo land or something.”
