MultiChoice Nigeria will begin charging the increased pricing for its DStv and GOtv packages on May 1, 2023. The DStv Premium bundle’s price would climb by N3,500, or 16.7 percent, from N21,000 to N24,500.

The GOtv Max bundle has been reduced to N4,850. Subscription to the bouquet used to cost N4,150. Subscribers to GOtv Jolli will now pay N3,300. The previous rate was N2,800.

The tariffs for GOtv Jinja and GOtv Lite have been raised from N1,900 to N2,250 and N900 to N1,100, respectively.

StarTimes, a Chinese-owned television network, announced a membership pricing increase beginning April 14.

Customers who subscribe to StarTimes’ Basic bouquet through DTT (antenna) will now pay N2,100 monthly, up from N1,850 before, while those who subscribe to its Classic bouquet will now pay N3,100 monthly, up from N2,750 previously.

Furthermore, the price of the Nova bouquet has risen from N900 to N1,200.

The monthly fee for the Smart bouquet has raised from N2,600 to N2,800, affecting the company’s DTH (dish) consumers as well.

As a result of the pricing change, the Super bouquet would now cost N5,300 per month, up from N4,900 before. The price of the Nova bouquet has been raised from N900 to N1,200.

According to the StarTimes, the pricing review was essential due to the country’s current challenging economic situation.
