The Lagos State Police Command has stated that three people were killed by unknown gunmen in the state’s Gowon Estate, Ipaja area.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the event to the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday.
Hundeyin stated that the event occurred on Wednesday about 11.35 p.m.
He stated that the Gowon Estate Police Division received a call from the estate’s Naval Block reporting that some persons had been shot by unknown assailants on 41 Road, Union Bank Block.
According to the image maker, two patrol squads were on the site right away.
Hundeyin stated that the police officers on the site were informed that the victims had been transported to Igando General Hospital.
“While investigating the shooting, police discovered nine spent cartridges and a slew of keys.”
“An unknown male corpse was recovered at Igando General Hospital and evacuated to Mainland General Hospital, Yaba, for preservation and autopsy.”
“According to additional information provided to the police, two male corpses were taken away by their families.”
“One male survivor, Doba Ngoze, is currently undergoing treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Idi-Araba,” he stated.
