Big Brother Naija, BBNaija reality show star Tope Adebuniyan, also known as Teddy A, has questioned the AMVCA organizers about the omission of Anikulapo lead actor Kunle Remi from the nominations.
Remember that the 2022 film Anikulapo starring actor Kunle Afolayan won the most nominations for the 2023 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards?
Despite the fact that Anikulapo’s lead actor Kunle Remi received 16 nominations across 15 different categories, he did not receive a single nod.
Teddy A questioned on social media whether the lead actor’s omission was the result of an interview where he revealed some secrets, criticizing the award event organizers for leaving Remi’s name off despite his involvement in the film.
He wrote, “Congrats to all the AMVCA nominees but how didn’t Kunle Remi get any nominations after what we all saw in Anikulapo? why did they omit @kunleremiofficial?
”Was it because of THAT interview? I’m just asking respectfully.”
