Fredrick Nwajagu, the Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate in Lagos State, has been detained.

Nwajagu threatened to summon members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra to protect the properties of Igbo people in the state in a video that went viral on Friday.

“IPOB, we’ll invite them,” he said. They are unemployed. The IPOB will safeguard all of our stores. And we must compensate them. We must mobilize for this. That is something we must do. We need protection so that they don’t attack us at midnight, in the morning, or in the afternoon.

“They will be cautious if they discover we have security before they come.” I’m not saying anything to keep it concealed. I’m not going to keep my thoughts to myself; let them spread. “Igbo must fight for their rights and a place in Lagos State,” he continued.

According to a police source who requested anonymity, the Igbo leader was apprehended on Saturday morning by a joint squad of police officers and Department of State Services operatives.

“A police and DSS team went to his palace, but he had already fled.” “He was later tracked down to a hotel in Ejigbo and arrested,” the source said.
