JUST IN: Olayiwola Lakondoro, former Chair of the 3SC, has died

Pa Samson Olayiwola Lakondoro, the former Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), has died.

3SC Chairman Babatunde Olaniyan acknowledged the sad incident in a statement made on Thursday.

Olaniyan stated that the club was informed of the former club Chairman’s condition on Thursday morning, prior to his death.

He went on to say that the club had already planned to visit the family after learning of his death.

“I can confirm that he is no longer alive.” “We were contacted this morning about his death, and we are already planning to visit his family later,” he said.

Lakondoro died at the age of 111, according to reports. He was a retired soldier, player, and the former Action Group’s first Organising Secretary. (AG).

He was Alfred Rewane’s first private secretary, a fundraiser for the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), and a close associate of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
