From February 25 to March 31, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported five new instances of coronavirus (COVID-19) infections.
The NCDC revealed in its most recent situation report, published on Saturday, that four of the cases were recorded in Rivers, while one was recorded in Lagos.
According to the disease control agency, 266,665 cases have been verified to date, 259,951 patients have been discharged, and 3,155 deaths have been documented in 36 states and the federal capital territory.
According to the NCDC, “the five new cases are reported from two states – Rivers (4) and Lagos (1), with four states reporting zero cases: Abia, Kaduna, Kano, and Nasarawa.”
“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations center (EOC) has been activated at Level 2 to continue coordinating national response activities.”
Meanwhile, the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) reported on Friday that 71,183,637 of the total eligible people targeted had received full vaccinations, while 11,871,959 had received partial vaccinations.
