Ladi Bako, the wife of Kano State’s first governor, Audu Bako, died at the age of 93.
Her daughter, Zainab Bako, verified her mother’s death on Wednesday, saying she died after a lengthy illness at Kano’s Prime Specialist Hospital.
Her burial will take place at the Kano Emir’s Palace in Kofar Kudu.
