Akingbemisola Dorcas Anjola, a Nollywood actress famously known as Gbemisola Anjola, has died.
The 33-year-old actress had been battling ovarian cancer, according to popular Nigerian blogger Linda Ikeji.
Anjola reportedly was diagnosed in 2021 and had to undergo months of chemotherapy in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
After being declared cancer-free, she returned to Nigeria and resumed her acting career.
Unfortunately, she began complaining of feeling ill in recent months and was admitted to a hospital, where her health rapidly deteriorated.
Odunlade Adekola and many of her colleagues paid tribute to the actress on social media.
