Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has committed to organize colleagues in order to fulfill Ahmed Wase’s ambition to become speaker of the House of Representatives before the 10th National Assembly is officially inaugurated.

Wase visited the Osun governor’s home to complete the consultation he had with him earlier that day at the residence of Adamu Aliero, the former governor of Kebbi.

Governor Adeleke claims that his decision to choose Wase was influenced by Aliero, with whom he values discretion and political cooperation.

The governor gave the deputy speaker and his entourage his word of assurance.

said: “We don’t belong to the same; it is immaterial. But when it was time to constitute the last National Assembly leadership and you agreed with your party to step down for their choice, it means you are man of intwgroty amd character; you have shown character. It means ‘Wase lokan’.

“You are highly recommended by former governor and Senator Aliero, someone i respect so much and we have collaborated on many occasions while we were together in the 8th senate. He has told me you are eminently qualified and I believe him.

“Be rest assured, please. Osun state is for you and I will personally talk to my colleagues to ensure we deliver you as speaker.”
