EPL: Oliseh praises Arsenal star and gives message to Arteta following tie with Liverpool

After Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, former Nigeria national team captain and manager Sunday Oliseh singled out one player for appreciation.

Mikel Arteta, according to Oliseh, must prepare his team to muscle up against top opponents if they want to win the league title.

Many thought that a win at Anfield would have given Arsenal the Premier League title this season, but the Gunners were fortunate to escape loss courtesy to goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Oliseh praised the England international after he put up a great performance in the crucial match.

Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus scored twice to put Arsenal ahead in the first half, but Mohamed Salah equalized shortly before halftime, and Roberto Firmino came off the substitute to level in the 87th minute.

Ramsdale, a former Sheffield United goalkeeper, produced two outstanding saves to prevent Liverpool from gaining all three points.

Oliseh emphasized that Ramsdale was the difference for the Gunners, who are six points ahead of City despite having a game in hand.

“The best goalkeepers gain points. “With his 5 star performance vs. Liverpool, Aaron Ramsdale once again confirmed my belief that he is an asset to Arsenal’s title chase,” Oliseh tweeted.

“If Arsenal wants to be champion, there is a need to muscle up against top opponents, in my opinion. Superb point won!”
