On Thursday, seven people were burned to death in an accident at the Saapade bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Mrs Florence Okpe, the spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun, verified the event to reporters in Abeokuta.

Okpe stated that 18 people were injured in varying degrees when a Toyota Sienna bus labeled BWR 762 PV collided with a Mazda bus labeled BDN 18 LG.

She went on to say that the collision was caused by high speed and a missed turn.

The Sienna bus driver, according to her, followed one-way and crashed with the Mazda bus, which exploded into flames.

According to an FRSC official, the accident included 27 individuals, including 25 males, two women, and a female child, seven of whom were burned beyond recognition.

According to her, the deceased’s bodies were interred to the FOS Morgue in Ipara. (NAN)
